I recently experienced difficulty in helping a client find a good mental health professional. Always confirm that the plan you choose has adequate providers in your area for the specific services you require.
Health Insurance agents are trained to assist you in locating hospitals, doctors, specialists and other providers in your area. Work with an agent, the service is always free to the consumer.
Call 1-800-207-1506 to shop plans that have adequate providers in your area, find a local agent or call your health plan provider.
Dental is included by law in all qualified child health plans. Your medical insurance may already be providing coverage for your child. Please consult with an agent by calling 800-207-1506 or refer to your plan information.
Dental insurance plans that are included in your child's medical plan are typically hmo's (which means that you select or are assigned a dentist or dental clinic), even, in most cases, if your medical plan is a PPO (which means you can visit most doctors that accept the insurance).
People typically prefer PPO's for their children and so we have created a site where you can view plans available in your area. Just click here: DENTAL PLANS FOR KIDS .
So again, if you want to see any dentist that will accept the plan, click on the link I posted above and view options, coverage amounts, waiting times and other limitations, as well as pricing.
You can also call and speak with an agent directly at 1-800-207-1506.
Certain restrictions may apply so speak to an agent. Typically however, if your employer is offering an affordable plan that meets the requirements of the affordable care act, then you would need to enroll into the employer plan and disenroll from your Covered California plan.
If your employer is offering health insurance but it is not affordable, or more than 9.5% of your annual income, then you may qualify to keep or enroll into a Covered California health plan.
Every situation is different. Speak to an agent today. Call 1-800-207-1506.
A health savings account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged medical savings account for those enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). The funds contributed to said account are not subject to federal income tax at time of deposit. Unlike a flexible spending account (FSA), HSA funds roll over and accumulate year to year if not spent.
